VetAI Works publishes AI prompts and guides for product managers — each one built and tested through real product work, not aggregated from other blogs. Most “AI prompt” content is written by people who have never shipped a product. This is written by someone who has, for three decades.

Why this exists

AI can draft a PRD, a sprint plan, or a vendor evaluation in seconds — and just as quickly fabricate metrics and requirements that sound right and aren’t. After 30 years in IT — 15 as a software engineer, 20 as a product manager and business planner, and 10 years operating startups — I’ve learned exactly where AI saves hours and where it quietly creates rework. VetAI Works packages that judgment: the prompts I actually use, vetted before they reach you.

Why “vetted”

“Vet” is in the name on purpose. AI drafts fast, but it also fabricates confidently — inventing numbers, evidence, and requirements that don’t hold up. Everything published here runs through real product work first. AI drafts; a human who understands the customer decides. That is the standard behind every prompt and guide on this site.

What you’ll find here

Practical guides on using AI across the product workflow — PRDs and requirements, sprint planning and effort estimation, vendor due diligence, and stakeholder communication — plus prompt packs that package the exact system I use, so you can skip the setup and get senior-level output on your first try.

Editorial principles

  • Vetted before publishing — AI drafts; a human with real product experience reviews and decides.
  • First-person experience — guidance comes from doing the work, not summarizing other posts.
  • No fabricated specifics — numbers and claims are verified, not invented by a model.
  • Updated periodically — as tools and best practices change.
